Traditionally, gaited horses have been notorious for developing sway
back and related soundness – and pain-related behavioral – issues.
The
Imus 4-Beat™ saddle is specifically designed to accommodate the unique
action of the gaited horse’s back. This beautiful, hand-built saddle
boasts a web-suspended, leather ground seat, giving the rider a
remarkably close feel for the horse’s movement. A unique saddle tree
with a carefully calculated degree of flexibility in the bars offers
gaited horses unprecedented comfort and freedom of motion, while still
correctly distributing the rider’s weight. The premium, medical grade
Supracor© therapeutic padding that is built right in under the
luxurious fleece lining virtually guarantees that your horse will never
again experience pressure points or soreness, and helps assure a
perfect fit.
Weighs approximately 26 lbs.
The Imus
4-Beat™ saddle places the rider in a perfectly balanced “bareback”
riding position, directly over the horse’s true center of gravity.
Because the saddle is placed more forward, loin soreness becomes a
thing of the past! The slightly forward positioned stirrups takes
stress off the rider’s hips, knees and ankles. The “center fired”
rigging assures you that the saddle will never be bounced from back to
front with each stride, which action can cause pinching at the
shoulders and withers. This rigging system also settles the cinch at
the least active point of the horse’s barrel, so you will never again
have to worry about the all-too common problem of saddle galls.
